Job Summary
Lead survey project delivery for public agencies, provide technical oversight and mentorship, ensure quality standards, coordinate with clients, support business development through proposals and opportunity identification. Responsibilities include reviewing subdivision maps and legal exhibits, post-processing field data (total station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, UAVs), creating boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys, and preparing staking calculations. Travel to BKF offices and client sites may be required. Required qualifications include a PLS, a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics/Surveying/Civil Engineering or 10+ years of office surveying experience, proficiency in CAD (Autodesk Civil 3D), and construction staking experience; laser scanning data processing is a plus. Required Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience: minimum of 10 years of office surveying experience)
- Deep understanding and experience of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
- Proficient in CAD software, especially Autodesk Civil 3D
- Construction staking experience, including reading plans, construction calculations, and preparing cut sheets
