Survey Technician

Job Summary
Operate survey total station and level instruments, organize field equipment, and assist the Crew Chief with survey files and field calculations. Transport and setup surveying instruments, record measurements using prism and level rods, and implement safety plans and risk mitigation measures. Clear vegetation or debris as directed for surveying measurements and perform other tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Group Manager. This field role requires standing and walking up to 12 hours daily, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working in various weather conditions. Weekend, overtime, and overnight travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry level, 0+ years of experience
- Ability to travel
- Must possess a valid driver's license, clean background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Attention to detail

- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk
- Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required
