Job Summary
Survey Crew Chief oversees field survey activities, collects data for ALTA/boundary/construction/topographic surveys, checks and reduces raw field data, performs project research, and coordinates with the Field Project Manager. Requires proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, GPS, data collectors), familiarity with Carlson AutoCAD, strong communication and leadership abilities, and willingness to travel regionally/nationally, including overtime/weekends. Physically capable of navigating rugged terrain and lifting up to 100 pounds; travel as needed; 3+ years of relevant experience. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
- Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices
- Proficient in the use of survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors
- Familiarity with CAD software, Carlson AutoCAD, is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
