Job Summary
Survey Technician at LaBella in Chattanooga, TN will perform topographic and boundary surveying, construction staking, and structure monitoring under Licensed Professional Surveyors. Responsibilities include assisting the survey crew chief, operating GPS and Robotic Total Stations, UAVs and other data-collection devices, processing data, creating maps and deliverables with Civil 3D, Carlson, and related software, and adhering to safety practices while working in varying environments. Requires 1-3 years of related experience (preferred), strong communication, teamwork, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to handle equipment and terrain.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of applicable experience preferred
- Skilled in the use of GPS and Robotic Total Stations, data collectors survey and drafting technologies, preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson and Inroads software is a plus
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Valid Driver's License
- Physical ability to lift 30-75 pounds
- Drive a passenger vehicle
- Work in cold or hot environments
