Job Summary
Survey Technician needed to perform topographic and boundary surveying, construction staking, and structure monitoring in support of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. Responsible for assisting the survey crew chief, following safety practices, operating GPS and Robotic Total Stations, UAVs, HD scanners and data collection devices, taking notes and sketches, and processing data with Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, Carlson and other software. Collaborative, safety-focused environment with benefits and a flexible schedule. Based in Rochester, NY with in-office role; CDL not required beyond valid license.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of applicable experience preferred
- Skilled in GPS and Robotic Total Stations
- data collectors survey and drafting technologies
- Familiarity with Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson and OpenRoads software is a plus
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Valid Driver's License
- Physical ability to lift 30-75 pounds
- Drive a passenger vehicle
