Survey Technician

Job Summary
Conduct land surveys and perform research on mapping legal boundaries, structures, utilities, and installations under direct supervision. Collect, compile, and analyze data from property records, deeds, and structural plans while using survey instruments for boundary, topographic, and as-built projects. Generate accurate documentation including photographs, sketches, calculations, and technical reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and codes. Complete assigned training and adhere to safety guidelines, ethical decision-making, and company policies while working schedules that may extend beyond typical hours. Occasional travel is required depending on project needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Excellent research and evaluation skills with analytical mindset
- Self-disciplined with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies
- Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workday or week
- Occasional travel
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Talk or hear and communicate clearly
- Be able to walk on uneven terrain up to ten miles per day
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements for the full day, year-round
- Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Close vision

- Ability to adjust focus
- Authorized to work in the US, without employer-sponsorship
