Job Summary
The Survey Technician will assist with collecting and analyzing data from various documents and operate survey instruments such as Leica Robotic Total Stations and GPS equipment. Responsibilities include supporting construction compliance verification, assisting in mapping and preparation of documentation, and generating accurate field notes using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The position requires a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently in field settings while upholding safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Basic understanding of land survey principles and practices
- Familiarity with survey equipment and field procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly
- Effective communicator in both technical and non-technical environments
- Self-motivated and dependable in outdoor, field-based settings
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
Desired Qualifications
- Technical coursework in surveying, geomatics, or civil technology preferred
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GeoPak, or similar platforms preferred
