Job Summary
Survey Technician I/II/III perform surveying and mapping duties to support supervisors, land surveyors, project engineers, and GIS personnel. Responsibilities include preparing exhibits, construction maps, centerline and legal descriptions for pipelines and facilities, maintaining maps and records, and assisting with surveys for routes and sites. Roles require AutoCAD, PLSS, and GPS knowledge, a two-year degree or equivalent experience, and extensive travel (50%+); positions range from Technician I to III with increasing years of experience. Benefits and sign-on bonus offered; located in Glendive, MT.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree in surveying, civil technology or geomatics or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- AutoCad, PLSS and/or GPS education or experience
- Survey Technician II requires three years related technical experience
- Survey Technician III requires five years related technical experience
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage, or unauthorized access
- Requires extensive travel (50% +)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
