Job Summary
Geomatics Engineering Technologist to provide legal property boundary, topographical and other geospatial survey functions for multiple government departments in support of provincial land management. Primary duties include establishing and re-establishing land boundaries, preparing plans and legal descriptions, delivering GIS mapping, modeling and analysis, planning and supporting field survey teams, and interpreting geoscientific data from aerial imagery and GNSS data using software such as ArcGIS and Carlson Survey. The role involves extensive fieldwork on Crown Land, coordination with stakeholders, potential expert testimony on legal surveys, and travel to remote locations. Strong knowledge of survey software, map projections, land registration processes, and regulatory requirements is required; a valid driver’s license is necessary.
