Job Summary
The Survey Student Internship at McKim & Creed provides an opportunity for students to assist the Crew Chief in operating a field survey crew during the Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 semesters. Responsibilities include ensuring work quality, safety, and maintenance of equipment, as well as operating survey equipment and accurately collecting field data. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a four-year surveying or engineering program or have a two-year surveying associate degree, possess technical skills, and be methodical and detail-oriented. Previous outdoor work experience in extreme conditions is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a four-year surveying or engineering college program preferred or two-year surveying associates degree.
- Must meet academic requirements set by the University to participate in an internship.
- Must have good technical skills.
- Must possess behavioral traits of process-oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, and a problem solver that likes working alone when required.
- Must be methodical, consistent, detail oriented, and precise.
- Must have experience in previous jobs working outside on a regular basis preferably in extreme conditions.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record and a negative drug test.
