Job Summary
Operate total stations, digital and automatic levels, Topcon data collectors, and TDS software to collect field data for level notes reported to the Surveyor Party Chief. Assist with loading and unloading survey equipment from the company vehicle while conducting all work activities in compliance with Thompson Holdings, Inc. Health, Safety & Environmental Management System policies. Attend monthly safety meetings, project toolbox meetings, and safety moments. Maintain on-time and consistent attendance while working outside elements up to 100% of the time, lifting 50lbs, standing eight hours daily, and driving to job sites. Travel and stay overnight based on the Survey Department workload to support project needs across industrial, infrastructure, and community development projects in the Southeast.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend simple measurements
- Basic math skills which include adding and subtracting numbers
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
- Must be able to travel to support project needs
