Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple land survey projects, managing field and office staff while tracking deliverables from start to finish. Lead proposal writing, business development, and staff development initiatives, establishing work plans and staffing requirements to maximize operating efficiency. Manage budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts, ensuring services meet quality standards and client specifications. Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings as required, and interface with sub-consultants and stakeholders to represent company interests at meetings and trade shows. Report financial status including AR/WIP and billing cycles, maintaining strong client relationships through presentations and problem-solving. Requires 5+ years of industry experience, an Active Professional Land Surveyor license in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Micro Station.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry related work experience in a professional or management capacity
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline/and or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects
- Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members
- Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly
- Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
Desired Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS) license in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana is a plus
- Experience managing surveying projects for renewable energy developments, including solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), and data centers, is highly preferred
