Job Summary
Lead surveying project management for a multi-year heavy civil construction project in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include full project oversight, invoicing, and coordination with the site’s general contractor and subcontractors. Review survey work orders, schedule crews, document re-stake requests, and maintain both field and office survey procedures to ensure high-quality deliverables. Identify and recruit key personnel, and mentor/train survey staff to support professional growth. Emphasizes ownership opportunities, continuous learning, and a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional licensed surveying experience
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of North Carolina
- Proficiency with Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center (TBC)
- Experience with ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys and complex boundary analysis
- Demonstrated success supporting business development and client relationship management
- Knowledge of current surveying technologies, principles, and best practices
- Ability to mentor and lead staff within a collaborative environment
