Job Summary
Survey Project Coordinator I provides project administration, scheduling, financial processing and technical administration assistance to Project Surveyors and Project Managers. The role includes coordinating the production of maps and drawings to meet budgets and schedules, training and mentoring field staff, downloading/uploading field data, and using software platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Survey123, and BlueBeam Revu to produce deliverables and support GIS-related tasks. Candidates should understand construction staking methods and applicable Texas survey statutes and be capable of working as part of a large team while also taking initiative. The position requires a two-year associate degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology and/or 3 years of surveying field experience, along with a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year Associates degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology and/or 3 years of surveying field experience
- 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, processing survey computation, Trimble, Data processing, GPS, boundary, construction staking, surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and construction staking
- Basic experience with field survey procedures and equipment as related to current industry standards
- Basic understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables
- Experience with BlueBeam Revu or comparable geomatics software. (ArcGIS, Google Earth, Survey123, etc.) (open drawings, compute closures, edit drawing information, create minor drawings, plot points, and import and export data)
- Basic knowledge of GIS systems, data reliability and support of company resources related to GIS technology
- Prior experience working in a project-oriented service business
- Must have Microsoft Office experience; strong EXCEL skills, ArcGIS/Survey123 experience a plus
