Survey Party Chief

The Survey Party Chief coordinates and oversees field survey crews to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient data collection using GPS, Total Stations, levels, laser scanners, UAVs/drones, and data collectors; interprets project requirements for boundary, ALTA, topographic, and other survey types; develops field plans to meet schedule and budget; enforces safety and proper equipment use; mentors Survey Technicians; maintains field notes, sketches, photos, and daily logs; troubleshoots equipment issues and coordinates with Fleet Management for vehicle readiness; requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Surveying Technology or related field and at least five years of experience, with a valid driver’s license and SIT certificate preferred; proficient with CAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office; capable of working in rugged outdoor conditions and collaborating with project teams.
