Job Summary
Survey Party Chief leads outdoor field crews performing topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys; operates and maintains instruments (levels, total station, GPS) and data collectors, drafts/reviews legal descriptions and survey drawings (AutoCAD/Civil3D), coordinates with clients and project teams, and ensures compliance with laws, safety programs, and company procedures. Requires 4+ years in land surveying with at least 2 years in a chief role, proficiency in GNSS/LiDAR/3D scanning and related software, strong communication and leadership abilities, and a valid driver's license. Location: Bryan, TX; on-site field work with no visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of specific Land Survey experience required, with 2+ years as a Survey Party Chief desired
- Experience with topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and right-of-way surveys
- Proficiency with surveying equipment (levels, total station, GPS, data collectors) and related software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Bluebeam Revu)
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clean driving record and valid state Driver’s License
- Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with project procedures and rules
- Experience in leading and training field crew members
