Job Summary
Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, develop timelines and budgets, and identify risks with mitigation strategies. Recruit, train, and supervise survey teams while assigning tasks and providing ongoing guidance. Determine appropriate data collection methods using tools such as GPS, total stations, or LiDAR, then implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy. Oversee data analysis and interpretation to draw insights, prepare comprehensive reports meeting regulatory requirements, and maintain organized project documentation. Ensure compliance with laws and industry standards, obtain necessary permits, monitor expenditures for cost-saving opportunities, and enforce safety procedures. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to address scope changes and concerns. This role requires a CA PLS license and on-site presence in the Palm Desert office.
Required Qualifications
- CA PLS licensure
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., surveying, geomatics, geography, civil engineering, etc.)
- Proven experience in surveying, with a track record of managing survey projects
- Being able to work in the office
- Strong knowledge of surveying methods, equipment, and software
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Professional licensure or certification, preferred a CA PLS Licensure
