Job Summary
Conduct land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, while processing and analyzing data using CAD and surveying software. Prepare maps, plats, legal descriptions, and survey reports, and support licensed surveyors in interpreting plans, deeds, and legal documents. Maintain accurate records of field notes, measurements, and calculations, ensuring compliance with company standards, state regulations, and safety requirements. Participate in field and office coordination to meet project deadlines, with mostly office work but occasional field use as needed. May require travel to project sites and working outdoors in varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam
- Basic knowledge of surveying principles, mathematics, and mapping techniques
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center)
- 3+ years of field experience and knowledge of Trimble-specific field equipment
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) or Surveyor Intern (SI) designation
- Working toward Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure
- Must be able to travel to project sites
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Must pass a drug, background, and reference screening
