Job Summary
Manage all survey operations for the Charlotte office, including conventional surveying, GPS, LiDAR, laser scanning, and UAV services. Supervise Project Managers, Survey Technicians, and field crews while enforcing safety policies and monitoring production levels. Provide technical oversight for GDOT transportation projects, develop project scopes and budgets, and ensure QA/QC compliance for all deliverables. Maintain strong client relationships with municipalities and utility providers, pursue new business opportunities, and document leads within Deltek Vision. Lead recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members.
Required Qualifications
- NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure
- 10–15+ years of progressive surveying experience
- Proven experience managing multiple survey crews, project managers, and office staff
- Strong knowledge of survey principles, methodologies, and industry standards
- Significant experience with GDOT transportation projects and requirements
- Experience managing conventional, GPS, laser scanning, LiDAR, and UAV survey services
- Strong project management, budgeting, and proposal development experience
- Demonstrated business development and client relationship management skills
- Experience providing QA/QC oversight for survey deliverables
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and survey-related software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
