Job Summary

Conduct diverse field surveys including legal, topographic, construction layout, and monitoring projects under Project Manager direction. Collect data using robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and UAVs while maintaining survey vehicle and equipment. Prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and computations; perform daily hazard assessments and vegetation clearing. Coordinate daily field scheduling with Survey Assistants and upload/download survey data. Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines and standard survey procedures. Work professionally with clients and stakeholders across land development, infrastructure, and First Nation lands.

Required Qualifications

  • Survey Technology Diploma
  • at least 5 years' experience in survey setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work effectively with field crews, project managers, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • high level of dependability

  • Strong working knowledge of robotic total stations

  • Proficient with Leica Captivate
  • Proficient with Leica Infinity/GeoCloud
  • A valid BC driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • more than 10 years' experience in survey setting
  • preferably in Lower Mainland
  • A Transport Canada Advanced RPAS (UAV) Pilot Certificate
  • Experience operating Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs)
  • sonar/bathymetric survey equipment
  • Experience operating terrestrial laser scanning equipment
  • such as the Leica RTC360
