Job Summary
GMC seeks a Survey Field Technician to join its team. Key responsibilities include working outdoors, lifting 40 pounds, and adhering to safety practices for land surveying. Candidates should have a working knowledge of robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and field data collection software. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required, with preference given to those with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in land surveying or related fields, and 3 - 5 years of relevant experience. Valid driver's license and passing a drug screening and background check are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 3 - 5 years of land surveying experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass drug screening and company background check
- Ability to work extended hours, including Saturdays
- Ability to travel out of town occasionally
- Ability to obtain access and clearance to government facilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in boundary topographic, as-built, construction layout and quality control surveys
- Working knowledge of robotic total stations, GPS equipment, Topcon Magnet and/or Trimble Access field data collection software
