Job Summary
Conduct field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography for engineering and land development projects. Operate and maintain Trimble survey equipment including GPS units, robotics, and levels, while supporting setup, calibration, and breakdown procedures. Accurately record and document field data, notes, and measurements, then assist in preparing survey reports, maps, and drawings based on collected information. Work closely with the Survey Crew Chief and team members to complete daily tasks, adhering to established standards and safety practices. Travel to project sites and perform work in outdoor environments across varying terrain and weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
- Ability to take direction and support field crews effectively
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to being a reliable teammate
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow in the surveying field
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in land surveying, construction layout, or a related field
- Basic understanding of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, data collectors)
