Job Summary
Operate survey total station and level instruments, record data in field books, and maintain all equipment. Assist the party chief with survey files and field calculations. This entry-level role supports timely assignment completion in Cary, NC, requiring travel and work in various outdoor conditions including extreme weather. Candidates must stand for up to 12 hours daily, lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and possess mathematical competence for computations. Weekend, overtime, and overnight work may be required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of land surveying experience
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
- Ability to travel
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

- Mathematical competence for construction and survey computations
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk
- Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel
