Job Summary
Operate surveying instrumentation and data collection equipment including GPS, total stations, and levels to perform accurate field measurements and staking activities. Read engineering, topographic, and boundary plats to take detailed site notes and occasionally prepare detailed drawings and maps using CAD software. Provide support to the crew chief and assist in the completion of the team's daily tasks while maintaining high standards of integrity and precision. Requires 3+ years of surveying experience and proficiency with survey technology. Located in Akron, OH.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3+ years in surveying experience
- proficiency in survey technology and equipment
- ability to operate surveying instrumentation and data collection equipment (GPS, total stations, level or other depending on assignment)
- ability to assist with accurate field measurements and staking activities
- ability to read engineering, topographic, boundary plats and other plans related to the site
- ability to take detailed notes on site
- ability to prepare detailed drawings and maps using CAD software
