Job Summary
Senior leadership role to manage SAS Geospatial’s Survey Division, overseeing project managers, field crews, survey technicians, senior technicians, and office staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Lead division growth, develop staff, ensure QA/QC, and strengthen field-to-finish workflows while maintaining client relationships and profitability. Responsible for budgeting, proposals, contracts, change orders, and overall performance of the division; ensure compliance with licensing, continuing education, and safety protocols. Not a purely technical role but a leadership/ownership position focused on people, production, quality, client management, and division-scale growth.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor license required. PA preferred; NJ and/or DE licensure a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of surveying experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership, management, or senior project management role.
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary survey projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, construction layout, control, transportation, and 3D scanning.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D, GNSS, robotic total stations, field-to-finish workflows, scanning technologies, and survey QA/QC practices.
- Strong business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, utilization, project profitability, and revenue planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred, but significant industry experience will be considered.
