Job Summary
Manage field survey crew chiefs for conventional construction staking projects and CAD technicians building models for GPS grade control. Oversee all survey personnel and related activities throughout the assigned region, including scheduling, daily direction of topographic and as-built surveys, and construction layout. Prepare finish grade surface models, cut/fill exhibits, and stake-out data for utilities and curbs. Install and maintain GPS equipment, manage machine grade control files, and track inventory of survey tools. Coordinate with engineering firms and attend operations meetings as needed. Requires a Texas Professional Land Surveyor license, valid driver's license, and ability to work in varied climates. Full-time role in San Antonio/Three Rivers with some travel; sponsorship not authorized.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- Oversees all survey personal and survey related activities throughout the assigned region
- Must have, or have the ability to obtain, a Professional Surveyors License in the State of Texas
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record according with Wood's driving (MVR) policy
- Must be able to work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather climates
- References required
