Survey Department Manager

Job Summary
Supervise and guide the Orlando survey office while strengthening Florida survey operations and expanding mapping services. Oversee civil engineering projects, prepare weekly crew schedules, and manage multiple team members to deliver survey reports and ROW plans. Coordinate with utility providers, monitor project budgets and deliverables, and prepare proposals and contracts. Train field staff on land surveying procedures and ensure CAD quality assurance for boundary, ALTA/ACSM, and as-built surveys. Requires a Florida Registered Professional Land Surveyor with 10+ years of experience and a valid driver's license. Hybrid or onsite work available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Florida or ability to obtain Florida PLS within six months
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in all aspects of land surveying, including project management experience
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicle
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
Desired Qualifications
- AAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred
- Strong Business Development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- Experienced in all aspects of Land Surveying (Land Development a plus)
- Perform Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys & As-built plans
- Successful track record of building client relationships in the surveying and related mapping industry
- Effective team building skills
- Experience with FDOT is strongly preferred
- Data reduction and processing of field files, topographic surveys, etc
- Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (GPS processing) and AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus
