Job Summary
Lead a survey crew to conduct field surveys (boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built) using total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, and data collectors; prepare detailed field notes and sketches; ensure data meets project and company quality requirements through fundamental software use and QA/QC; monitor project progress and timelines, communicate issues to the Survey Team Leader, and assist in training junior crew members; emphasize safety protocols and PPE management; travel as needed and collaborate with clients and employees.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of surveying experience in a leadership role
- Proficiency with survey instruments and software (total stations, GNSS receivers, levels, data collectors)
- Proficient in locating boundary corners and monuments
- Ability to travel overnight and work overtime as needed
Additional Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment driver’s license background check
- Must pass periodic drug testing
- Must be physically able to stand for extended periods and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
