Job Summary
Lead and supervise a survey crew in conducting various survey assignments including horizontal and vertical control, ROW and boundary retracements, and municipal surveys. Responsibilities include conducting field surveys with advanced surveying instruments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, preparing detailed documentation of survey activities, maintaining equipment, and providing mentorship to junior surveyors. The role requires a minimum of 4 years as a Survey Crew Chief, proficiency in surveying techniques, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with Trimble equipment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Survey Crew Chief
- Proficiency in surveying techniques, methods, and equipment, utilizing robotic total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with surveying software for data processing and analysis
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel for work assignments 65% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing Trimble surveying equipment
- FAA Part 107 UAS pilot license
