Job Summary

Assess field and documentary evidence to perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and high-precision work including industrial layout and deformation monitoring. Read design documents for calculations, perform construction layout for anchor bolts and footings, and collect data using total stations, GPS, terrestrial scanners, and UAVs. Oversee quality control of field notes and daily downloads, interact with clients onsite, and mentor new field staff while maintaining safe workplace operations. This 4-month contract requires consistent travel up to 75% of hours, including outside Timmins, with a wage range of $26.00 - $36.00 hourly. Candidates must possess three years of practical experience, proficiency in survey equipment and ATVs/UTVs, and knowledge of Ontario survey regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of practical related work experience
  • Proficient in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting conventional and GPS survey equipment or similar
  • Familiar with static control surveys, high-precision layout work, and 1st order levelling techniques (or are willing and able to learn)
  • Knowledge of Ontario survey evidence and the Acts, Standards, and Regulations as they relate to performing cadastral surveys
  • Willing to travel consistently for site inspections and fieldwork, including outside of the Timmins area
  • Proficient in the operation of ATVs/UTVs/snowmobiles
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • Can pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A valid, Class G driver's licence
  • Must be available for frequent travel, up to 75% of hours worked
