Job Summary
Survey Crew Chief responsible for conducting field surveys using conventional equipment and GPS, including boundary retracement, topographic, and control surveys, with accurate field notes and data transfer to the office. Responsibilities include completing daily topographic, boundary, and control surveys for design and construction, communicating with on-site client representatives, identifying potential survey issues, locating monumentation, analyzing maps, and ensuring data is accurately shared with the office. Proficiency with Trimble equipment, Civil 3D/Topob Surveys, and ALTA/NSPS surveys is preferred, along with knowledge of safety standards and the ability to work primarily in the field with occasional office tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Consent for Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Experience with topographic, ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and transportation surveys
- Familiarity with Trimble equipment and data handling
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Office suite
- Ability to perform field and office tasks
- Knowledge of safety standards (UDOT)
