Job Summary
Lead field crews in performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys. Manage on-site survey work and quality control for deliverables; operate survey instruments (robotic total stations, GPS, data collectors) with precision; review raw field data and calculations; coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to keep projects on track; promote safety and professionalism in the field.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience as Survey Party Chief
- Proficient in survey equipment (total stations, GPS, data collectors)
- Ability to lead field crews and communicate with PMs, engineers, and clients
- Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices
- Part 107 license is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with CAD software (Carlson AutoCAD) is a plus
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
