Survey Crew Chief

Lead and supervise a survey team in the field, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection for topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layout. Operate and maintain surveying equipment including total stations, digital levels, and GPS receivers while conducting traverses and level loops to establish primary and secondary control. Research land records and legal documents to determine property boundaries, then transfer collected field data to computer systems for analysis. Maintain accurate notes, records, and sketches to certify work performance, ensuring all survey data meets project specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand requirements and provide regular progress updates. Stay current with advancements in surveying technology and best practices through continuing education and training.
