Job Summary
Conduct field surveying assignments independently or as part of a two-person crew, performing right-of-way, design, and construction surveys for highway, municipal, and roadway projects. Lead and execute field operations including work planning, scheduling, and equipment maintenance while managing survey activities and collaborating with project teams and contractors. Operate Trimble GPS and robotic surveying equipment to collect accurate field data and ensure quality deliverables throughout all project phases. This full-time role in Fargo or Bismarck supports transportation and infrastructure projects. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction surveying, including topographic, boundary, and right-of-way surveys
- Experience operating Trimble GPS and robotic surveying equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time, and to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel for projects
- A valid Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to perform civil engineering technician and CADD work while not engaged in survey work
