Job Summary
Lead field crews in boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys; locate boundaries, pins, and utilities; perform data checks and calculations; operate survey instruments (robotic total stations, GPS, data collectors); ensure timely, high-quality survey deliverables; maintain safety and communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients; willing to travel around Nashville and surrounding areas; strong leadership and collaboration with field teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience as Survey Party Chief
- Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices
- Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, GPS, data collectors)
- Knowledge of CAD software (Carlson AutoCAD) is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Must be willing to travel around Nashville and surrounding areas
- Part 107 license preferred but not required
