Job Summary
Conduct topographic plotting, terrain modeling, plat preparation, and design file generation while performing office survey activities per Minimum Standards of Practice. Analyze raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy, prepare finished grade sheets and survey reports, and coordinate information for stakeout services. Track job progress and complete QA/QC checks on office computations. Requires a valid driver's license, background check clearance, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson, or MicroStation. Field work comprises 5% of duties; remaining time is sedentary office-based.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License Required
- Able to pass Background Check
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skills in coordinate geometry and trigonometry
- Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with third party software for data reduction and drafting including AutoCAD or Carlson preferred and MicroStation
