Survey CAD Technician

Job Summary
Prepare boundary, topographic, and construction survey drawings using Civil 3D, draft subdivision plats and easement exhibits, and process field data from total stations, robotic instruments, and GNSS equipment. Perform deed and public-record research, calculate survey points and alignments, and review field data for accuracy before drafting. Conduct routine QA/QC on survey drawings and maintain organized project files and CAD standards. Coordinate with project managers and field crews to resolve questions and track work status. Operate survey instruments, set stakes, and assist with monument searches when needed. This full-time, exempt role requires 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble equipment, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm and occasional local or overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as survey technician working with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Must be experienced with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Data Collectors, and GPS equipment
- Ability to drive company vehicle to various locations in the metroplex to complete surveying tasks for projects if needed
- Ability to work closely with an integrated multi-discipline team under tight deadlines and communicate clearly – both in writing and verbally
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Overtime may be requested at times to meet project deadlines
- Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
