Survey CAD Technician

Job Summary
Produce detailed survey drawings, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, right-of-way exhibits, construction stakeouts, and as-built documentation. Import and export field and GIS data in various formats, draft legal descriptions, and coordinate with field teams for setup and data prep. Ensure compliance with company, municipal, and industry CAD standards while collaborating with project teams to meet schedules and maintain quality. Organize digital files, manage project data, support archiving and revision control, and perform quality control checks on deliverables. Use supporting software platforms like Excel, Word, and Adobe to assist in project documentation and coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CAD drafting experience with a focus on Civil 3D
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2021 or newer, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, points, and data management
- Demonstrated experience preparing accurate and professional as-built drawings
- Working knowledge of land surveying principles and the ability to draft legal descriptions
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Read and understand project documents
