Job Summary
Set up and operate a range of survey equipment while following directives from the Field Supervisor or Party Chief to assist the survey team. Place stakes, marks, control points, or identify and expose utilities and survey monuments using specialized tools. Learn correct surveying methods and complete tasks independently under supervision, adhering to all safety processes and procedures. This role involves working in varied environmental and remote conditions, including wildlife areas, with the ability to travel up to 21 consecutive days. Candidates must maintain a valid driver's license with a clean record and possess physical fitness for heavy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel out of town for up to 21 consecutive days, if required
- Physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment
- Willing to work in varied environmental conditions
- Willing to work in wildlife populated areas
- Willing to work in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- General computer knowledge
- A positive, motivated attitude
- Drive to contribute to the team
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Pre-site access testing as per client requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Technical school education
- Understanding of basic surveying
