Job Summary
Lead and direct the Belfast Surveillance team in reviewing alerts from TP ICAP’s Trade/Order and Communications Surveillance systems; oversee the QA of Surveillances conducted by Associates/Analysts; manage investigations, parameter reviews, and escalation processes; compile responses for exchanges and regulators; maintain thorough documentation in internal logs; coach and mentor the Belfast team, drive KPI reporting and management information, and collaborate with front-office stakeholders to ensure compliance controls and governance are met. This role emphasizes leadership in market surveillance, governance of alert tuning, and coordination across Compliance to support regulatory expectations and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a Surveillance or Market Abuse function
- Knowledge of financial products across one or more asset classes
- Experience working in or alongside trading/broking environments (preferred)
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and report writing skills
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and control standards
- Ability to operate under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
