SURVEILLANCE OPERATOR

Job Summary
Surveillance Operator monitors a 24/7 closed-circuit surveillance system inside a Kickapoo casino to detect infractions of house rules, casino regulations, and tribal gaming ordinances; observes patrons and employees, records irregularities, prepares daily logs and incident reports, and coordinates with team members to report suspected violations. Requires attention to detail, problem analysis, effective communication, and maintaining confidentiality under stress; role includes testify in court, maintaining shift flow, and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned. Must be able to pass a background check and obtain the Kickapoo Gaming Commission license; security-focused routine with occasional extended hours and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to write clear and concise reports
- Basic knowledge of casino pit games, slots, poker
- Ability to work with computers is an asset
- Must pass a background investigation to obtain a Kickapoo Gaming Commission license
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers
- Previous surveillance or gaming experience preferred
