Job Summary
Conduct covert foot and mobile surveillance operations to identify hostile reconnaissance, suspicious behaviour, and persons of concern. Deliver protective surveillance in support of client movements, residences, and planned activities while maintaining constant situational awareness. Plan, prepare, and execute surveillance deployments in both urban and rural environments, gathering, recording, and accurately reporting intelligence to support informed operational decision-making. Liaise effectively with Close Protection Officers and wider security personnel, utilising techniques to support threat assessments and producing clear written reports following deployments. Operate within legal, ethical, and client confidentiality requirements while maintaining equipment and upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Full UK driving licence with clean record required; willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas at short notice essential.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive operational surveillance experience within the UK
- Proven experience conducting covert surveillance in dynamic and fast-moving environments
- Excellent observational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong understanding of hostile reconnaissance and behavioural detection
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working as part of a professional multidisciplinary security team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable and decisive under pressure
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required
- Ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrate exceptional judgement and sound decision-making
- Operate discreetly without drawing attention
- Are patient, disciplined and methodical in their approach
- Maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments
- Understand the unique requirements of working with UHNW clients
- Can identify emerging risks before they escalate
- Produce accurate and objective intelligence reporting
- Build effective working relationships within multidisciplinary security teams
- Consistently demonstrate integrity, discretion and confidentiality
- Share our commitment to delivering intelligence-led, discreet and uncompromising protective security
- Must be able to travel at short notice whenever operational requirements dictate
- Applicants should not have competing full-time employment or other commitments that would impact their ability to deploy when required
- A high level of flexibility, professionalism and operational readiness is essential
Desired Qualifications
- SIA Close Protection Licence
- Former UK Police Surveillance Units
- UK Intelligence Community experience
- UK Special Forces or specialist military surveillance background
- Government surveillance or intelligence roles
- Experience supporting executive protection or protective surveillance operations
- Advanced surveillance qualifications or specialist surveillance training
- First Aid qualification
