Job Summary

Monitor customer and team member activities across all gaming and money handling areas while enforcing applicable gaming laws and regulations. Report to the Surveillance Supervisor and Director of Surveillance, notifying gaming commission or Mississippi State Tax Commission agents when necessary. Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining a courteous demeanor with customers and coworkers. Perform any additional duties assigned by management. This role requires a Gaming Permit, database software knowledge, and familiarity with casino operations and video surveillance equipment. The position is part-time with a starting salary of $15.00.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit
  • Thorough knowledge of casino operations, casino games, casino cheating and embezzlement scams, etc
  • Thorough knowledge of video surveillance equipment
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Surveillance Department
