Job Summary
The Surveillance Epidemiologist will analyze public health surveillance data, manage outbreak reports, provide training, and liaise with health departments in Florida to enhance disease surveillance efforts. Candidates must possess a master's degree in epidemiology or a health-related field, with skills in data analysis and communication.
Required Qualifications
- MPH, MSPH, MS, or equivalent degree in epidemiology or a health-related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with analysis software such as SAS, SQL, Access, R, and/or other analytical tools.
- Strong data analysis and data visualization skills and a firm understanding of public health surveillance, syndromic surveillance, and surveillance system evaluation methodologies.
Additional Requirements
- Preferred candidates would be located in Tallahassee, Florida.
