Surveillance Analyst

Job Summary
Role involves performing level one assessments of alerts from TP ICAP’s trade/order and surveillance systems and from communications surveillance, escalating matters as needed, and assisting with post-trade monitoring and regulatory responses. The analyst will develop product knowledge and participate in tuning of alerts, contribute to compliance controls framework, and enhance reporting and stakeholder communications. The position is based in TP ICAP Belfast with responsibilities across global trading and communications activity, with opportunities to apply AI/data science concepts in market surveillance.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent queries
- Flexibility to take on other team roles as workload demands
- Experience in monitoring/surveillance in financial services is desirable
- Knowledge of financial products across Commodities, Interest Rates, Fixed Income, and Equities
- Understanding of market abuse risks and regulatory requirements
- Ability to develop report writing and communication with stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and apply AI/data science concepts in surveillance
