Job Summary
Surveillance Analyst responsible for identifying potential market abuse (insider trading, market manipulation) using surveillance systems, reviewing alerts across asset classes (Equities, Fixed income, Futures/Options, Asset management), documenting review outcomes, and collaborating with business/compliance teams to identify violations and areas for process improvement. Requires graduate-level background with ~6 years in trade surveillance or related fields and familiarity with securities laws; preferred experience with SMARTS/Actimize and Bloomberg data.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified graduate with minimum of 6 years of trade surveillance / product experience with exchange traded products (including equities, futures and Fixed income) and/or information barriers / Asset management
- Understanding of markets and potential market manipulative behavior
- Ability to conduct reviews relating to regional rules and regulations
- Experience with reviewing trading activity for Compliance and familiarity with securities laws and regulations for identifying potential trading violations
- Preferred Qualifications include experience with SMARTS, Actimize or similar Trade surveillance systems; navigation and sourcing of information in Bloomberg/public sources; working knowledge of securities markets preferred
