Job Summary
Analyze recorded and live surveillance video to detect suspicious activity, discrepancies in gaming, and financial risks. Monitor internal controls across casino departments, prepare detailed reports, and execute accurate data entry while maintaining confidentiality. Efficiently manage simultaneous telephone and radio communications in high-pressure environments, ensuring precise capture and logging of critical information using surveillance software. Collaborate with team members to investigate gaming activity, claims, and safety risks, while conducting department audits and camera functionality checks to verify regulatory compliance. Maintain proficiency in table games and apply mathematical aptitude to verify payouts and reimbursements. Work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts in a climate-controlled office setting, with travel required for meetings and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field (i.e., criminal justice, accounting, law, or psychology)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in surveillance, security, or relevant casino experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Commercial database systems proficiency
- Internet research skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and use various database management systems
- Ability to use the technological components of computers
- Ability to multitask with different and sometimes conflicting events happening simultaneously
- Basic mathematical skills, including calculating figures, adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers
- The ability to successfully pass an internal certification on all table games offered at Yaamava' Resort & Casino within one (1) year
- Travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences
- Availability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone
