Job Summary
Surveillance Agent monitors casino activity using surveillance cameras and software to identify procedure violations, suspicious behavior, and illegal activity on the gaming floor; supports investigations as directed by the Senior Manager of Surveillance or Director of Risk Management and Compliance; upholds hospitality, morale, teamwork, and collaboration while maintaining compliance with Canterbury Park policies, Title 31 (BSA) and Minnesota Racing Commission regulations; role requires proper training in surveillance operations and casino games and involves working closely with other departments to resolve issues; starting wage is $20 per hour with potential for higher rates based on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- one (1) year of casino Surveillance and/or table games experience OR equivalent education/experience
- ability to satisfactorily complete training in Surveillance operations, equipment, and casino games (Blackjack, EZ-Baccarat, Carnival Table Games, Poker)
- ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Surveillance Department operations, Title 31 (BSA) compliance
- proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Windows, Word, Excel
- excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and attention span
- ability to pass pre-employment screening including criminal background check
- ability to attain an MRC license
