Job Summary

Manage surplus lines documentation, filings, and records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. Utilize online filing systems to retrieve, organize, submit, and maintain documentation while ensuring taxes and reporting activities are completed accurately and within deadlines. Maintain tax tables, assist with system testing, and support compliance efforts by staying current on state regulations and industry developments. Partner with branch offices, underwriting teams, and brokerage staff to process transactions, resolve questions, and serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding coverage and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation and support state billing verification activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Operations, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in surplus lines insurance, insurance operations, compliance, brokerage operations, or a related business operations environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Surplus Lines licenses as required by state regulations

Desired Qualifications

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience working with insurance documentation, regulatory filings, and compliance requirements
  • Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI)
  • Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
