Job Summary

Lead a team of professionals responsible for Health, Safety and Training while coaching their development. Adapt project strategies into a clear implementation plan and manage complex risks, impacts, and mitigation opportunities across infrastructure. Ensure project standards are embedded and monitored throughout planning, construction, and operations. Partner with engineering and construction teams to design mitigation strategies aligned with obligations, schedule, and budget. Maintain productive relationships with project leadership, contractors, external authorities, communities, and internal experts. Manage third-party service contracts and foster integrated ways of working across Environment and Communities teams. Initially based in Montreal before transitioning to a FIFO site role. Fluency in French and basic English required.

Required Qualifications

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team, with genuine care for people and their wellbeing
  • 15 years of experience supporting the development and delivery of large-scale projects in complex operational environments
  • 5 years of leadership experience managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working in remote locations or FIFO environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with local, national and regional stakeholder groups
  • Fluency in written and spoken French
  • Basic knowledge of English

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant education or experience in Safety, Health and/or Environment
  • A health and safety certificate
  • A bachelor's or master's degree
  • CRSP designation
